What is the Toronto Geological Discussion Group?
Since 1945, the TGDG has organized special events and speakers for geologists, mining engineers, mining analysts and students. Most talks are related to advancement of mining properties and cover mostly early and near-development stage projects. The emphasis is on geology, new deposit models and the application of exploration techniques. Talks are 40 minutes with 15 minutes set aside for questions and discussion. The meetings are a networking opportunity with 15 to 50 members attending, depending on the discussion topic.
Did you know that attending TGDG meetings contributes to APGO Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits?
Each session attended is valued at one hour CPD! More than 10 CPD credits are available during every season, and we do provide certificates upon request.
When do we meet?
4 pm. to 5 pm. on every second Tuesday between mid-September to mid-December and mid-January to mid-May
