Catharine is a professional geoscientist with more than 20 years of mining industry experience. Since November 2012 she has been CEO, Director and Co-Founder of TMAC Resources Ltd., a private exploration and development company based in Toronto and Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. She is also President of FarExGeoMine Ltd., as an independent consultant focused on providing integrated solutions to the mining industry – from exploration through to production and closure. Before TMAC, Catharine was most recently COO of KGHM International, with open pit and underground operations in Canada, the US & Chile.  Previously at Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. and FNX Mining Company Inc. before that, she held multiple senior executive roles ranging from Exploration, Corporate Development, Technical Services and Project Evaluation. Before FNX, Catharine was with both Inco Ltd. and the Ontario Geological Survey. She is a Director of both the PDAC and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Ontario Region, and is an Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University. Catharine obtained her BSc (Hons) from Mount Allison University, her MSc from Acadia University and her PhD from Carleton University.
