The introduction of the Chrysos Photon Assay system in 2018 has brought in a disruptive new technology using gamma activation for gold determination in geological materials. The purpose of this lab tour is review this new technology at Paragon Labs and compare it to existing gold assay methods at Activation Laboratories Ltd. in the Hamilton area.

Review of Photon Assay Technology (see details at https://paragongeochem.com). If you have any coarse rejects Paragon will analyze one sample during the visit to show how fast the assay process is.
