Head of Discipline – Geology – James Bay, Arcadium Lithium

Talk Abstract:

The Galaxy Lithium Project is located in approximately 380 km north of the town of Matagami in the Eeyou Istchee Baie-James region of Québec. Discovered in the 1960’s by floatplane, the deposit is a world-class example of an LCT-pegmatite deposit and is one of the largest in the Americas. The project is currently being developed by Arcadium Lithium and has received both federal and provincial approvals to commence construction. This talk will explore the discovery history, and touch on both lithological, structural and mineralogical aspects of the deposit.
