Bill N. Pearson, Ph.D., P.Geo.

Executive Vice President, Exploration, Eloro Resources Ltd.

Talk Abstract:

Iska Iska is a major silver-tin polymetallic porphyry epithermal complex associated with a Miocene collapsed/resurgent caldera, emplaced on Ordovician-age rocks with major breccia pipes, dacitic domes and hydrothermal breccias.

Eloro recently released a robust initial inferred mineral resource of 560 Mt at 13.8 g Ag/t, 0.73% Zn & 0.28% Pb in the Polymetallic Domain and 110 Mt at 0.12% Sn, 14.2 g Ag/t & 0.14% Pb in the Tin Domain. This includes a higher-grade near surface inferred mineral resource of 132 Mt at 1.11% Zn, 0.50% Pb and 24.3 g Ag/t.

The talk will provide an overview of the geology and mineralization of this remarkable deposit that remains open in all directions and how advanced technology including core scanning is being used to aid in understanding controls on mineralization to optimize further drilling and to define geometallurgical zones.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Bill N. Pearson, P.Geo. has more than 48 years of direct experience in the exploration, development and production of minerals worldwide. He has played an integral role in creating value that led to successful acquisitions of Desert Sun Mining Corp by Yamana Gold in 2006, Central Sun Mining by B2 Gold in 2009 and Coastal Gold by First Mining in 2015. Dr. Pearson was the founder and first President of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (now Professional Geoscientists Ontario). In 2015, he received the Distinguished Service Award from PDAC.

Bill’s journey in Bolivia began when he was President & CEO of Castillian Resources (subsequently Coastal Gold) which held a gold property in Bolivia where he met Dr. Osvaldo Arce, P.Geo., a renowned expert on Bolivian metalliferous deposits, who has published two landmark books covering major deposits in Bolivia. The gold project did not work out for political reasons, but Bill was impressed with the exploration potential of the country. He teamed up again with Osvaldo and Tom Larsen, President & CEO of Eloro Resources to option the Iska Iska property in January 2020. The start of drilling was delayed due to the pandemic but from September 2020 to August 2023 Eloro completed 139 drill holes totaling 96,386m which formed the basis for the recently published initial MRE. Remarkably, all drill holes intersected significant reportable intersections. In just 3 years and $56 million in equity financings, Iska Iska has gone from a grassroots prospect to a new giant silver-tin polymetallic deposit >500 Mt in the prolific Bolivian Tin Belt. Eloro is currently carrying out additional definition drilling to expand the near surface higher-grade resource, further metallurgical testing on PQ diamond drill hole core and just commenced a preliminary economic evaluation (PEA).
